Knee replacements increase Betty White's joy of traveling.
At 88, Albuquerque resident Betty White doesn’t let too many things keep her from traveling and doing what she wants. “To me, age is just a number. I don't think about it much. I just really love to go. I guess you could say that I have itchy feet.”

So two years ago when her aching knees began to limit her daily activities, she decided to get them examined.

University of New Mexico awards Lovelace Health System with the Clinical Site Partner Award

UNM recognized Lovelace Health System for improvements made in student placements and onboarding, resulting in increased number of students, as well as positive student experiences at Lovelace facilities. UNM recognized Lovelace’s willingness to come to the table and open communication, which resulted in a partnership with the UNM College of Nursing to open our doors to UNM Nurse Interns. Interns will begin to utilize Lovelace facilities to complete internships in January 2023.

We are honored to be the first site outside of UNM hospital to welcome UNM Nurse Interns! We appreciate the hard work of every employee who helps to precept and mentor our students at every level, including our APRNs and physician preceptors.
